French Teacher at FNRAEC

Bonjour, for the last twelve years I have been the French teacher here at the First Nations Regional Adult Education Centre in Kahnawake. I have a bachelor degree and a master’s degree in French, specializing in language. French is my mother tongue, however, I also speak Spanish and English.

I have been teaching French for the past 20 years. First, at Lakeside Academy (French and Spanish), and Karonhianónhnha Tsi Ionterihwaienstáhkhwa (French). During this time, I have had the opportunity to teach students of all ages, from elementary to adult learners. I have a passion for helping students reach their goals. I strive to create an environment in which students feel comfortable and supported as they learn. My teaching style is engaging, fun, and encourages student participation. I have a great deal of patience and I am committed to helping my students succeed by individualizing the curriculum to meet the needs of each student. I understand that learning a new language can be a challenge, but I look forward to the opportunity to walk this adventure together.
